1939 Pilot's Watch

This exclusive design watch was inspired by the pilot's watches of the 1930's, and has a traditional coin edge bezel and matching coin edge back.  The case measures 43 mm in diameter,  12.6 mm thick, and takes a 22 mm strap.  A thick (1.9 mm) sapphire crystal is used on top, while the screw-back features a mineral crystal to view the movement.  The dial is finished in matte black, with superluminova markers and numbers.  The Pilot's watch comes on a padded and stitched calfskin strap that is hand-made in Germany.

The automatic movement is a Swiss-made ETA 2824-2, which features 25 jewels, 28,800 BPH (beats per hour), hacking, and a quickset date. This particular movement is one of the highest grades of the ETA 2824-2.  The movement has a durable rhodium finish and is highly decorated with perlage on the main plates, and geneva stripes on the rotor. The power reserve is 40 hours.  To learn more about this movement, click here to see the 'Movement' page.

These watches carry a one-year warranty.  All Thomas Gref watches come with a 5 day money back guarantee.

Because many people are interested in how watches are designed and produced, I wrote the following article which describes how I created the Oceanic dive watch.  Follow the link below to read this article.
